DAY 1 | HALONG INTERNATIONAL PORT – SUNG SOT CAVE – LUON CAVE

12:00 | Check-in

Arrive at Halong International Harbour, where the Athena Cruises team warmly welcomes you. Complete the check-in and luggage procedures at the waiting lounge before boarding.

12:30 | Embarkation

Transfer to Athena Cruises by tender boat. Upon boarding, enjoy a signature welcome drink while the Cruise Manager introduces the crew, presents the itinerary, and provides an important safety briefing.

12:45 | Lunch On Board

Enjoy a delicious lunch in the elegant onboard restaurant as the cruise begins its journey through the spectacular limestone seascape of Halong Bay.

14:45 | Sung Sot Cave Exploration

The cruise anchors near Bo Nau Cave (Pelican Cave), located within the core area of Halong Bay’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue by tender to visit Sung Sot Cave (Surprising Cave), the largest and one of the most impressive caves in Halong Bay, famous for its remarkable stalactites and vast chambers.

Continue to Luon Cave, a peaceful lagoon surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and lush natural vegetation.

Choose one of two ways to explore this beautiful area:

To ensure the best travel experience during the peak summer season, Athena Group will temporarily adjust the order of sightseeing activities between Luon Cave (Day 1) and Titov Island (Day 2) for departures from 7 July 2024 to 31 August 2024. Please refer to the applicable Summer Itinerary for details.

The itinerary may be adjusted without prior notice due to weather conditions, tidal levels, or operational requirements to ensure passenger safety.
